Description

SABOURAUD DEXTROSE AGAR is a medium used for the isolation and identification of pathogenic and saprophytic fungi, according to ANFOR (V08_059), ISO 7954 and UNI EN ISO 18416 (search for Candida albicans in cosmetic products) requirements. The medium can be made selectable by the addition of antibiotics such as Penicillina (20 U/ml) and Streptomycin (40 U/ml) or Cycloheximide (0.5 mg/ml), to inhibit the development of fast growing molds that can contaminate the plates.
