CCI CROMOGENIC CRONOBACTER 2017

Chromogenic Cronobacter Isolation (CCI) Agar, formulated according to UNI EN ISO 22964:2017 standard, for the isolation and differentiation of Cronobacter spp. from foods.

Cronobacter spp. (previously called Enterobacter sakazakii) are gram negative bacteria of the Enterobacteriacea family, responsible for sepsis, meningitis and necrotic enterocolitis in infants with a mortality rate of between 40 and 80 %. The high resistance of the organism to the body, in the production of powdered milk, required monitoring in infant and infant foods.
