Description

ENTEROCOCCUS VANCOMYCIN RESISTANT AGAR (VRE) is a selective chromogenic medium for the determination and direct identification of Enterococci VRE. The presence of the antimiotic / antibiotic supplement gives the medium a high selectivity, which inhibits the growth of most yeasts, Gram negative bacteria and Gram positive bacteria, with the exception of vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE).
