Description

Brucella Agar base is a medium for the cultivation and maintenance of Brucella species. The medium might be made selective by the addition of Brucella Selective Supplement cod. 76.311. In the medium containing blood, Bucella does not produce hemolysis and pigments.

The medium should be supplemented with the addition of horse serum cod. 21.0136.

Initially, the Brucella colonies are brilliant and transparent to dew drop with a diameter of 1 mm, as a result become larger (2-3 mm diameter) and with yellowish color.
