Description

Burkholderia Cepacia Selective Agar (BCSA) is a selective medium for the isolation of Burkholderia cepacia BCC in the sputum of cystic fibrosis patients. Burkholderia cepacia colonies (simply B.cepacia or BCC) on this medium appear yellow with a yellow halo. Colonies that absorb the crystalline violet dye appear yellow-gray with greenish reflections.
