Description

Bismuth Sulphite Agar is a highly selective medium used for the selective isolation of Salmonella typhi and other Salmonelle from faeces, water and foodstuffs. Both the bright green that the bismuth sulphite, present in the medium, inhibit the growth of all gram-positive and most of gram-negative, with the exception of Salmonella.
