Description

Linearcount 3 has been developed to allow the microbiologist to follow a rapid and precise bacterial count, accompanied by a perfect isolation of the colonies, giving the possibility to make a first presumptive identification of the sample on a single support. The bacterial count of the sample is determined in well 1A, with a new principle of linear sowing, ising a calibrated loop of 10 μl. With the aid of a graduated scale printed on the support is obtained rapidly charging the sample in U.F.C./ml.

Linearcount 3 media support contains:

• C.L.E.D Agar (used for total bacterial count)
• Mac Conkey Agar (for the isolation and enumeration of enterobacteriaceae; it also allows the growth of Pseudomonas)
• Enterococcus Agar (to highlight and enumerate fecal streptococci)
