Description

Bacillus Cereus Agar (Pemba) is a highly selective medium, prepared according to the Holbrook e Anderson formulation for the isolation, the diagnosis and the determination of B. cereus in foodstuffs. B. cereus is responsible for certain food intoxications following the ingestion of foods, in which the bacillus has multiplied, producing notable quantities of toxins.

Cool the medium to 50°C. and under sterile conditions add the contents of 1 bottle of Bacillus Cereus Selective Supplement (code76.018) or 2 bottles (code 76.017) and 50 ml of Egg Yolk Emulsion (code 76.000).
